Bryan Carpenter has worked with LDS Philanthropies at BYU for nearly 20 years in a variety of different managerial and fundraising assignments. He was born and raised in Southern California, served a mission to Argentina, and graduated from BYU in 1980. He met his wife Teri Wallace on a volleyball court while they were both attending BYU and they are the proud parents of five children, the youngest of whom has Down Syndrome. Teri played in 1977 on BYU's volleyball team. Their daughter Christie played volleyball for BYU from 2007-2011. Bryan played on the U.S. National Volleyball team.
Upon receiving his assignment to work with the Athletic Development team, Bryan said, "I am thrilled to join the great fundraising team at BYU Athletics and to work in this important area of the University. I'm really looking forward to joining colleagues and friends I've known and respected for many years, and working with all the great people who are donors at BYU. I love standing with Cougar fans at games in different venues and arenas across the country and I'm honored to be counted as one of you."
