BYU Announces Radio/TV Schedule for NCAA Women's Basketball
The BYU Women's Basketball team will play the University of Florida in the first round of the NCAA Championship on Saturday, March 16, beginning at 6:06 p.m. Central (5:06 p.m. Mountain) in Ames, Iowa, at the Hilton Coliseum. The Cougars (22-8) are the No. 11 seed in the Midwest region, while the Gators (18-10) are the No. 6 seed.
The game will be broadcast live on the radio in the Utah County market on KOVO 960 AM. Tipoff is scheduled for 5:06 p.m. (Mountain), with a pregame beginning at 5 p.m. Play-by-play for the game will be called by veteran radio personality Chris Tunis. KOVO will also air the second-round game live on Monday should the Cougars advance.
In addition to radio, the game will be televised live nationally on ESPN as a part of the "ESPN Full Court" package. The Cougar vs. Gator matchup will also be broadcast on the Sunshine Network taped delay beginning at 10:30 p.m. (Eastern). The Sunshine network is available in many areas of the country on Direct TV and the Dish Network.
Cox Communications -- Channel 15 in Gainesville, Fla. -- will show the game on Saturday, March 16, beginning at 7 p.m. Eastern. BYU-TV will likely air a rebroadcast of the game on Monday, March 18.
ESPN Full Court college basketball pay-per-view is available through many local cable or satellite companies. Direct TV subscribers can call 1-800-DIRECTV or tune to channel 216 and order by remote.
