BYU vs. Mississippi Valley State Game Notes

BYU basketball will continue its three-game homestand Wednesday when the Cougars host Mississippi Valley State at 7 p.m. MST in the Marriott Center. The game will be televised live on BYUtv and broadcast live on the Cougar IMG Sports Network, KSL NewsRadio 102.7 FM/1160 AM and BYU Radio – Sirius XM 143. 

BYU Storylines

• BYU is off to a strong start defensively, limiting teams to 58.7 points per game, 28.4 percent shooting from the field. Opponents have shot 26.4, 31.0 and 27.7 percent from the field in the first three games.
• Cougar center Corbin Kaufusi has played his best basketball the last two games. Against Long Beach State, he posted career highs of 17 points and 10 rebounds in addition to 3 blocks. Against Adams State, Kaufusi had 14 points, 7 rebounds and tied his career high with 4 blocks.
• Coach Dave Rose is BYU’s all-time leader in winning percentage at 74.4 percent and second in career wins at 259. He has led the Cougars to 10-straight 20-win seasons and 10-straight postseason appearances, including eight NCAA tournament appearances during that stretch.
