BYU Cancels Autumn Classic, Will Compete at Montana State

The BYU Autumn Classic, scheduled to be held on Saturday, Sept. 15, has been cancelled due to travel problems related to Tuesday's tragic events.

Travel difficulties for several teams scheduled to compete in the meet led BYU coaches to make the final decision to cancel the meet on Wednesday evening.

BYU has cancelled all home meets on Friday in keeping with President Bush's declaration of that day as a national day of mourning.

Both the men's and women's teams have made plans to travel to Bozeman, Montana to compete in the Montana State Invitational on Saturday.

The men's race is scheduled to be run at 9 a.m. and the women's race will follow the completion of the men's race at 9:40 a.m.
