Mountain West Conference Announces Academic Honorees

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- The Mountain West Conference has announced the Academic All-Mountain West Conference honorees in the sport of women's cross country. To be eligible for the honor the student-athlete must have completed at least one academic term at the member institution, maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 and be a significant contributor on the team.

Forty-seven student-athletes qualified for the academic all-conference team in women's cross country, tied with last year. BYU had the most honorees with 10, San Diego State had nine, and New Mexico had six, followed by Air Force, Utah and Wyoming with five each. Colorado State garnered four and UNLV had three.

Thirty-one of the academic honorees are in action this Friday and Saturday, February 23-24 at the MWC Indoor Track and Field Championships at the Air Force Academy. They are specified by an (*) below.
