Mountain West Conference Announces Academic Honorees

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- The Mountain West Conference has announced the Academic All-Mountain West Conference honorees in the sport of men's cross country. To be eligible for the honor the student-athlete must have completed at least one academic term at the member institution, maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 and be a significant contributor on the team.

Twenty-nine student-athletes qualified for the academic all-conference team in men's cross country, up from 27 last year. BYU had the most honorees with eight, followed by Utah and New Mexico with five each, Colorado State and Wyoming had four each and Air Force had three.

Nineteen of the academic honorees are in action this Friday and Saturday, February 23-24 at the MWC Indoor Track and Field Championships at the Air Force Academy. They are specified by an (*) below.
