Six BYU Student-Athletes Named to Academic All-MWC Team

PROVO -- Six student-athletes on BYU's men's and women's tennis teams were named to the 2002 Mountain West Academic All-Conference Team.

Four members of the women's team were selected to the team, with three of them receiving repeat selections. Brooke Beverley made the team for the first time in her final year at BYU. Lindsay Ferrell, Elizaveta Khoudoiarova and Dominique Reynolds all returned to the team having received repeat nominations to the team.

Jeff Harbach and Gert Vilms were the honorees representing the BYU men's tennis team on the academic all-conference team. Harbach was named to the team for the first time and Vilms was a repeat selction.

To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have completed at least one academic term at the member institution, maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better and be a starter or significant contributor to the team.
