Men Return Home for Doubleheader
PROVO -- After spending the past month on the road, the BYU men's tennis team (6-5) returns home to host Cal Poly and Montana State in a doubleheader on Friday.
Having lost its past three matches, the Cougars are eager to play in Provo where they have a 31-2 record dating back to the 2005 season.
"We've been on the road for a long time now," said BYU head coach Brad Pearce. "This will be a nice change for us. We're looking forward to playing at home."
The Mustangs of Cal Poly improved their overall record to 6-3 after beating the defending Big West Conference champions, UC Santa Barbara on March 2. The win puts Cal Poly on a three-match winning streak heading into this weekend.
Montana State comes to Provo after a 7-0 sweep of Lewis and Clark State College, improving to 3-4 on the season.
BYU's match against Cal Poly will begin at 12 p.m. and the match against Montana State will start at 5:30 p.m. Admission to all matches is free, along with pizza that will be provided for fans. BYU "Y Lot" parking is available to visitors after 4 p.m.
