Women Prepare For OSU Shanico Invit.

PROVO -- The BYU women's golf team will play in the Oregon State University Shanico Invitational Oct. 8-10 at Trysting Tree Golf Club in Corvallis, Ore.

After an outstanding second place finish at the Denver Fall Tournament, the Cougars will compete against 18 other teams, including 18th-ranked Arizona and 12th-ranked Mountain West Conference rival New Mexico.

The 54-hole tournament is played over three days, beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Monday and Tuesday, and a 9:00 a.m. start on Wednesday. The course at Trysting Tree Golf Club plays a par 72 over 6,072 yards.

The Cougars are led by senior All-American Carrie Summerhays who finished second at the Denver Fall Tourney.
