BYU travels to Las Vegas to compete in ITA Regional Championships
PROVO, Utah – The BYU women’s tennis team heads out to compete in the ITA Mountain Regionals in Las Vegas, Nevada from Wednesday to Saturday, Oct. 23-26.
The tournament is hosted by the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) for the second year in a row.
All top 10 teams from the Mountain Region will be sending athletes to compete in the tournament. This includes in-state rivals Weber State, Utah and Utah State, as well as out of state competitors like Denver, Boise State, NAU, Wyoming, Idaho and Colorado.
A total of 120 female collegiate athletes will be competing in the tournament. BYU will be sending its entire roster to compete.
Last year, the Cougars ended the tournament on a high note with all three doubles teams winning their last consolation matches. Returners Madeline Almeida and Kate Cusick Truman also took home wins in their singles consolations.
The teams will compete on 12 courts each day in both singles and doubles matches.

Wednesday, Oct. 23 - First Round doubles (64) followed by
First Round singles (2 Flights of 64 each)
Thursday, Oct. 24 - Second Round doubles (32), Consolation doubles, Second Round (32) and Round of 16 singles
Friday, Oct. 25 - Round of 16 and Quarterfinal Round doubles, Quarterfinal singles, Consolation singles & doubles, Added singles matches
Saturday, Oct. 26 - Semifinal doubles, Quarterfinal singles, Semifinal singles, Consolation singles & doubles, Added singles matches
