BYU Women's Tennis Loses To No. 14 Notre Dame
PROVO -- The BYU women's tennis team, ranked 49th in the country, lost 7-2 to No. 14 Notre Dame in a non-conference dual match Saturday in the Indoor Tennis Courts.
The Cougars recorded the two wins at number one doubles and number five singles. Junior Jodi Richardson and senior Kim Kelly teamed to defeat Michelle Dasso and Katie Cunha 8-5 in number one doubles. Freshman Liza Khoudoiarova defeated Lindsey Green 6-2, 7-6 in number five singles.
Despite the other losses, BYU head coach Craig Manning was pleased with the way the team played.
"I thought we played really well tonight," Manning said. "We competed with them really well. We just need to get the game points. We had so many chances, but we are just lacking experience. We pushed them really hard, though."
