Parents are Darl and Michelle Gleed ... has one sister and two brothers ... brother Ryan walked on to the BYU football team as s freshman in 2002 ... served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to the Argentina Buenos Aires North mission from Feb. 2005-July 2006 ... enjoys soccer, basketball and surfing in her spare time ... sports hero is Andi Collins, an Orange County setter who played volleyball while undergoing chemotherapy before succumbing to breast cancer after her junior season in 2003 ... got her start in volleyball after her Mom persuaded her to try out in the seventh grade ... communications major.

Davidson College -- 2003 -- Sophomore: Ended the year ranked fourth in the Southern Conference and 43rd in the nation in aces per game (0.49) ... registered a conference-high eight service aces in Davidson's win over Radford on Sept. 6 ... notched a career-best 17 kills against Elon on Oct. 26 ... recorded two double-doubles on the season ... torn ACL kept her out of the last three weeks of the season, including the conference tournament ... volunteered as a YMCA youth soccer coach ... named to the conference honor roll.
2002 -- Freshman: Saw action in 13 matches as a freshman ... recorded season highs in kills (six) and digs (four) against the Citadel ... contributed three kills, two aces, one block and one dig versus Southeastern Louisiana.
High School: Three-year varsity starter at Hawai'i Preparatory Academy in Kamuela, Hawai'i ... named all-conference in her junior and senior years ... earned second-team all-state honors in her senior season while leading her team to the state championships for the first time in six years as the team captain ... recorded 26 kills against Honokaia in the 2001 conference semifinals to earn a berth in the state tournament ... also earned all-conference honors in basketball and soccer ... named Hawai'I Preparatory Academy Athlete of the Year and Career Athlete in 2002 ... received high honor roll status all four years ... active in SADD (Students Against Destructive Decision) Club as well as being a founding member of Speaking to Peers Freely, a peer counseling group.
