Parents are Robert and Madelyn Lake ... got married in the summer of 2009 to Daniel Wright ... has two brothers and three sisters ... began attending BYU in the fall of 2006 before walking on with the women's volleyball team in 2008 ... enjoys scrapbooking, photography and country music ... began playing volleyball in the sixth grade majoring in exercise science with an emphasis in fitness and wellness management.

Club: Played for the Desert Sports volleyball club for two years and the Mojave volleyball club for four years.
High School: Four-year letterwinner at Palm Springs High School under coach Gary Wilhoite ... played outside hitter as a freshman before moving to the setter position in her final three seasons ... received All-Desert Valley League First Team honors as a sophomore, junior and senior after earning honorable mention as a freshman ... named the DVL Female Athlete of the Year by The Desert Sun following her junior and senior campaigns in 2004 and 2005, respectively ... helped her team win the league title in 2003, 2004 and 2005 ... was the team MVP as a junior and senior after earning co-MVP honors as a sophomore ... was a team captain in her final two seasons ... also lettered three years in water polo and four years in track, breaking the school triple jump record as a junior ... participated in concert choir for two years and spent six years as a member of the National Charity League, an organization dedicated to leadership and community service ... graduated third in her class with a 4.0 GPA and received the Principals' Award and Honor Roll all eight semesters of high school.
