SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference has announced that BYU junior forward Kyle Davis has been named to the 2015-16 WCC Men's Basketball All-Academic Team.

Davis carries a 3.59 GPA while majoring in accounting. BYU’s accounting program is ranked No. 1 by The Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg Businessweek. On the court, Davis leads BYU in rebounding (8.3 per game) and blocks (1.4) and is fourth in scoring (12.8). He has started all 28 games this season, has eight double-doubles and is shooting 53.2 percent from the field.

The WCC Men’s Basketball All-Academic Team is dominated by debut first team appearances. This season no fewer than nine newcomers qualified for the WCC All-Academic first team, besting the previous record of eight set just last season.

At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to his team.
