MEN'S FIRST-ROUND GAME SWITCHED TO ESPN
SPOKANE -- Due to on-going, up-to-the-minute war coverage on CBS, today's NCAA men's basketball tournament game between BYU and UConn has been tentatively moved to ESPN. The game is scheduled to begin at 11:40 a.m. (PT), 12:40 a.m. (MT).
"We'll be updating our viewers frequently. We're working closely with the news division," CBS Sports vice president LeslieAnne Wade said.
It was not immediately known how many games throughout the day would be shifted to the cable channel or its partner, ESPN2.
"We're prepared to accommodate every window today and tomorrow, if needed. They've sent the first window to us so far," ESPN spokesman Josh Krulewitz said. "Beyond that I don't know. It's a fluid situation."
RADIO COVERAGE
KSL Radio has also outlined its plans for covering the Cougars run in the NCAA Tournament, as well as updated war coverage. KSL, 1160 AM, will carry the BYU-UConn game unless urgent, breaking news develops. Should the station elect to switch from the game to war coverage, play-by-play action would be switched to KBYU-FM, which is located at either 89.1 FM or 89.5 FM.
Fans should tune in to KSL 1160 AM at the regularly scheduled time to hear play-by-play coverage.
