COLORADO SPRINGS -- BYU senior divers Aaron Russell and Kelli Einfeldt earned Mountain West Conference Diver of the Week honors for their performances against Utah last week.
Russell, a native of Provo, Utah, won the one-meter and the three-meter boards against the Utes, posting scores of 355.65 and 329.32 respectively in the events. It is the third time this season Russell, a two-time All-American, has earned the MWC honor.
With the wins at Utah, Russell, who has posted the highest scores in the conference for each event, finished the year undefeated in the three-meter event at dual meet competitions.
Einfeldt, a Salt Lake City, Utah, product, earned her first MWC honor of the season by winning the one and three-meter events against Utah last week, with scores of 263.25 and 265.88 respectively.
This season Einfeldt was the only MWC diver to qualify for the finals at the Speedo American Cup. She also turned in a season high score of 474.00 on her way to winning the three-meter board at the Lobo Invite, a score that is also tops in the conference.
