Cougars Earn All-MWC First-Team Honors

COLORADO SPRINGS -- The Mountain West Conference announced the All-Conference performers for the past season today with BYU leading the way earning 14 first-team All-MWC honors, and 22 second-team honors.

Honorees for the men included junior Randy Belliston who set MWC records in the 200 and 400 IM, freshman Travis Price who set a new MWC Championships record in the 1,650 freestyle, and senior Aaron Russell, the 2003 MWC Diver of the Year, who set a new MWC record on the platform. Every Cougar relay also earned first-team recognition.

For the women, first-team All-MWC honorees included senior Cortnee Adams and junior Tamber Covington. Adams won the 50, 100, and 200 freestyle events, and Covington took home the conference titles in the 100 and 200 breaststroke events. It was the second consecutive win for Covington in the 200 breaststroke.
