Thomsen Named Track Athlete of the Week

PROVO -- Senior Lindsey Thomsen, from American Fork, Utah, was named Mountain West Conference Women's Track and Field Athlete of the Week Tuesday.

Thomsen ran the fastest time of her collegiate career in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 33:25.30. She finished fourth at the Stanford Invitational in Stanford, Calif. on March 28, and automatically qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships in June.

Her time is the best mark in the conference and the sixth best in the nation this season. It is also the second fastest time in both BYU and MWC history.
