Thorn Picks Up MWC Weekly Honor

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. ñ BYU junior guard Erin Thorn was named the Mountain West Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week, marking her first award this season and second overall.

A native of Orem, Utah (Mountain View HS), Thorn averaged 20.7 points and 4.0 rebounds per game, while helping the Cougars to a 3-0 record last week. Thorn started the week with 14 points, two assists and two steals in a 74-58 win over Oregon. Thorn turned in a stellar performance at the Denver

Conference with 20.2 points per game this season and leads the league inthree-pointers made per game with 4.0.
