Cougars and Aggies Meet in WNIT
With a decisive 75-60 victory over Denver, the Cougar women’s basketball team (24-8) advanced to the second round of the WNIT.
BYU hosts instate rival Utah State, who improved to 18-14 on the year with a first round home win over Arizona. Tip off for the Cougars and Aggies game is 3 p.m.

Following the women’s game, fans are invited to stay for the “Men’s Watch Party” to cheer on the men’s team vs. Gonzaga. -The Cougars are led in scoring by senior guard Mindy Bonham who averages 12.8 points and 3.5 rebounds per game. Senior forward Coriann Fraughton follows averaging 11.7 points and a team high 7.4 rebounds per contest. She also has the best free throw percentage at .774, 48-62.
-Bonham also tops the list in assists with a total of 163.
-Haley Hall has the most steals on the team with 60.
-Freshman center Jennifer Hamson is tops in the field goal percentage category at .557, 83-149. She also has the most blocks on the team with 44.

UTAH STATE UNIVERSITY
Utah State advanced to the second round of the WNIT with an impressive 103-95 victory over the University of Arizona on Thursday night. To date, the Aggies have compiled a 18-14 record and are 7-7 when playing on the road. Junior forward Ashlee Brown tops the list in scoring and in rebounding for the team with 15.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per game. Devyn Christensen, a 5-6 sophomore guard, follows averaging 12.0 points and 2.3 boards per contest. Another guard, senior Alice Coddington, leads the team in both assists and steals with 136 and 82 respectively. Head coach Raegan Pebley is in her eighth year with the Utah State women’s basketball program.
