Women to Finish Dual Meet Season on Road
The women's swimming and diving team will finish the season this weekend with two meets in Colorado. The Cougars will compete against Colorado State, Friday, at 6 p.m.,in Ft. Collins, and then travel to Denver to compete against the University of Denver and New Mexico State, Saturday, at noon. The No. 17 men's swimming and diving team is preparing for its next meet, the Mountain West Conference Championships, Feb. 14-17.

vs. Air Force (1/12)
The men's and women's team swept the Flacons with the men winning 140-99 and the women winning 141-86. For the men, first-place finishers included Arunas Savickas in the 200 and the 500 free, Gary Tan in the 200 IM and the 200 back, Jeff Mason in the 50 and the 100 free, and Ryan Ayres in the 1000 free. For the women, first-place finishers included Heidi Lietz in the 50 free, Codi Jensen in the 500 and the 1000 free, Ashlee Rumfallow in the 200 IM, Monica Ferrell in the 200 free, Amy Thompson in the 100 free, and Melissa Thompson in the 200 back.
For the divers, Viraj Patil won the men's 1- and 3-meter events, while Anna Tutunnikova won both the 1- and 3-meter events.
vs. Wyoming (1/13)
The men's and women's team swept the Cowboys with the men winning 138-99 and the women winning 141-102. For the men, Jeff Mason won the 50 and the 100 free, while Arunas Savickas won 100 back and set a new pool record while winning the 1000 free. Gary Tan took first in the 100 fly, Mike Mullen won the 50 free and Nick Tobler won the 100 breast. For the women, first-place finishers included Heidi Lietz in the 50 free, Tamber Covington in the 400 IM, Ashlee Rumfallow in the 100 back and Jennifer Tasker in the 100 breast.
For the divers, Viraj Patil won the men's 1- and 3-meter events while Anna Tutunnikova won both the 1- and 3-meter boards.
@ Arizona Diving Invitational
Kelli Einfeldt won the 1-meter events both Jan. 12 and Jan. 13. Aaron Russell placed second on the 3-meter board, Jan. 12, while Justin Wilcock finished fourth on the 3-meter board, Jan. 13.
Women Swimmers to Watch
Heidi Lietz, sophomore: Swims free and fly. Lietz won the 50 free against Air Force and Wyoming. Has conference-best time in the 50 free (23.81).
Codi Jensen, freshman: Swims free and fly. Jensen won the 500 and the 1000 free against Air Force.
Jennifer Tasker, senior: Swims breast. Tasker won the 100 breast against Wyoming. Has conference-best time in the 100 breast (1:04.44).
Women Divers to Watch
Kelli Einfeldt, sophomore: Einfeldt won the 1-meter event on both Jan. 12 and 13 at the Arizona Diving Invitational. Has conference-best score on the 3M board (465.70).
Anna Tutunnikova, senior: Tutunnikova won the 1- and 3-meter boards against both Air Force and Wyoming.
