SOPHOMORE: Victories came at Santa Clara, at UNLV, vs. UNLV in the MWC Tournament in Provo, and vs. Maine in the NCAA Regional at Los Angeles ... pitched well in BYU's victory at the University of Pacific ... allowed only one hit through the first six innings at UNLV ... got his save in the 7-5 victory over UNLV in Provo ... his defense and pitching brought BYU back into the extra-inning game against New Mexico in Provo, including a dive to his knees to throw out a Lobo, then struck out the next two batters, including UNM's homerun hitter ... was BYU's primary pitcher in the 12-12 tie at Washington ... struck out five UNLV batters in relief to record a victory in the longest game in MWC Tournament history, four hours and three minutes.
