Parents are Barry and Verna...majoring in design technology.

Before BYU

Prepped at Boisa Grande in Garden Grove, California...lettered three times in football and twice in track...started at tackle on both offense and defense for three years...was injured first game of senior year and missed the entire season...all-county as a junior and team captain as a senior...coach was George Asleson (Iowa State).

Other College

Prior to coming to BYU in '78, Glen played nose guard and defensive tackle for UCLA...at UCLA he lettered and was the most improved lineman during spring drills...his competitor at UCLA for the starting position was All-American Manu Tuiasosopo.

Started in the spring and retained starting role throughout the season...played most of the year at end...five times selected as player of the week on the defensive line (Weber State, Utah State, Long Beach State, Utah and San Diego State)...had 10 tackles against Long Beach State...All-WAC...honorable mention All-America (AP).
