Parents are Dave and Betty...brother, Todd, was a quarterback at Utah State...recruited by UCLA, Utah State, Utah, Nebraska, Hawai'i and Arizona...a business major with a minor in communications.

High School - Lettered in football, basketball and baseball at Alta High...an all-state football selection...named to USA Today, Street & Smith and Adidas All-America teams...team won state championship in '83 and '84 runnerup...coached by Doug Berry (Southern Utah State).
Played mainly with the junior varsity, where he caught 19 passes for 224 yards and one touchdown...dressed for some varsity games.
Backed up Trevor Molini most of the season...started Air Force and Freedom Bowl games...had two key receptions vs. UTEP...had a 46-yard catch and run against had six catches against both San Diego State and UTEP...caught a 35-yard touchdown pass at Hawai'i.
