Born 12/28/73 in Santa Barbara, California...parents are Tom and Sonia...served an LDS Church mission to Cleveland, Ohio...married Allyson Jenks in June, 1996...co-authored a 14-volume series of books...prepped at Camarillo High...majored in English.
Returned from mission in time to participate in spring drills...saw playing time in fourth quarter against Hawai'i...played on special teams kickoff return unit.
Started 12 games...had a season-ending injury with a broken ankle in the first quarter of the Utah game...injured knee at TCU...did not dress against UTEP...chosen as coaches' offensive lineman of the game vs. Rice.
Second team All-Western Athletic Conference...named coaches' offensive lineman of the week at Rice...started all 11 games...Cougar Club Scholar-Athlete.
Declared January 8 to give up his final year of eligibility and was drafted in the fifth round by the New York Jets.
Participated in spring drills...redshirted.
