Lettered twice in football at Antelope Valley High, playing both offensive and defensive lines...coached by Brent Newcomb.
Other College
Earned honors of first team All-Foothill Conference, first team All-California and honorable mention All-America at Antelope Valley College in Lancaster, California.
Suffered a severe ankle sprain...competed in track in both outdoors and indoors, throwing the hammer, 150-9 and the 35-pound weight, 53-2 1/2...got some playing time against Oklahoma in the Copper Bowl, including at the center position.
Played some at center during spring drills but was switched back to guard...one of the most improved players in spring practice...has regained speed after ankle injury...expect big things from him as a pulling guard.
Redshirted...was selected as prep team player of the week by the coaches prior to San Diego State game.
