Parents are Helen and the late James Christianson...family heritage is from Iceland...served a mission to Washington, D.C. from 1988-90...came to BYU on an academic scholarship...married Stace Hucks in December 1992...his twin brothers were signed out of high school this year by Utah...Frank was recruited by Stanford, Rice and Yale...majoring in English and journalism.
Before BYU
Prepped at Timpview High...all-state...was also a running back...lettered in football, soccer and track...coached by Gary Walker.
Other College
Played two years at Dixie College...was all-conference...was Academic All-American...helped Rebels to two Rotary Bowl berths...graduated with honors.
One of BYU's leading tacklers on special teams...made a bone-jarring tackle along the Wyoming sideline on special teams...Academic All-WAC.
Walked on and had a good spring...redshirted.
