Known more for his track in high school, where he ran the hurdles for four years at Grace M. Davis High School in Modesto ... ran the lows in 18.6, highs in 13.9 and long jumped 23-9 ... was a guard on his basketball team ... was a flanker in football ... honorable mention Sunkist All-American ... was All-Northern California ... received the SOS Outstanding Athlete Award, reserved for the best male athlete in Stanislaus County ... played in the North-South Shrine game ... coach was Dan Gonsalves ... carried a 3.65 GPA and was a member of the California Scholarship Federation.

BYU Hall of Fame

Freshman Year

In the first year when freshman were allowed to play Division I football, Lynn had a big game against Colorado State, recording two receptions for 77 yards including a 41-yard touchdown reception.

Sophmore Year 1973

Lynn will be remembered as the other half of the great catching duo of 1973 (NCAA reception leader Jay Miller was the other half) ... led the team in kickoff returns with 17 for 366 yards (21.5 average) ... one punt return for four yards ... had two rushes for 13 yards ... Academic All-Conference.

Junior Year 1976

Caught one pass against Southern Mississippi for 16 yards.
