Teu Kautai came to BYU as an all-round quarterback, safety and linebacker from The Oakridge School in Arlington, Texas. He earned letterman honors his junior and senior years and played in a total of 29 games. He tallied 41 total tackles and 5.5 tackles for loss during his career, while helping BYU to a No. 9 ranking for team tackles for loss in 2015. As a junior Kautai became the fifth BYU player with three sacks in a game since the NCAA began tracking official defensive statistics in 2000.
