Jake Kuresa came to BYU from Mountain Crest High School with dozens of accolades. Kuresa lettered all four years as a Cougar and played in all 48 games of his collegiate career, starting 47 of them. He switched from defensive line to offensive line during his redshirt season and later played every offensive line position in his senior year alone. The two-time All-Mountain West Conference performer earned second team honors as a junior and first team honors as a senior. Kuresa received a Sports Illustrated.com All-America Honorable Mention and was a 2006 Outland Trophy candidate. He was credited with 96 tackles and allowed just 1.5 sacks his senior season.
