Sophmore Year 2001

Started 11-of-13 regular season games at safety and started in the Liberty Bowl against No. 22 Louisville... earned Honorable Mention All-MWC and media All-MWC honors... earned coaches player-of-the-game honors for his performances against Nevada, UNLV and San Diego State... recognized by the Cougar Club as a 2001 Academic Athlete Award winner... credited with 65 takedowns on the season, including 36 solo tackles... made three interceptions, five pass deflections and two fumble recoveries... credited with the game-saving pass deflection against Wyoming on the final play of the game... posted a season-high 12 tackles in the Cougars' 35-31 victory at UNLV... had a fumble recovery in back-to-back games at Cal and at UNLV.
