A two-time letterwinner in football at Fremont HS... earned academic All-State Basketball and Baseball honors with a 3.9 grade-point average... an all-area and all-region wide receiver and defensive back as a senior... earned all-state honorable mention honors... scored two touchdowns in the state championship game against Skyline... also lettered in basketball (2), baseball (1), track (3)... an all-region basketball selection... also earned all-region and all-state honors in track, taking fourth place in the state 5A 100-meter finals.
