Prepped at Londonderry High where he lettered three times in football and once in basketball...was team defensive player of the year...all-state, all-area, and honorable mention All-America by USA Today...was honorable mention all-area in basketball...coached by Tom Sawyer (Ithaca College).

Saw limited action as a backup during his sophomore season...recorded two tackles on the season, including one assisted and one unassisted tackle.
Participated in spring drills...saw action on special teams and as a backup at linebacker in 10 of 11 regular-season games as a junior...recorded seven tackles, including five unassisted and two assisted tackles.
