Born in St. Croix, Virgin Islands...parents are Franklin and Alora...moved in 1984 from the Virgin Islands to Texas...recruited by Syracuse, Rice, Houston, Missouri, and New Mexico...majoring in computer science.
Before BYU
Prepped at Robert E. Lee High where he lettered twice in football and three times in track...listed in Dave Campbell's Top 100 and the Houston Chronicle Top 100...was all-district...team co-captain...voted team's most improved defensive player...ran the 400 meters in 47.38, the 200 in 21.5, and the 100 in 10.5 seconds...set a meet record with a 47-7 triple jump...coached by Richard Olin.
Played for the first time against Utah St.,...had three tackles vs. TCU.
Saw limited playing time as a backup at defensive back.
Participated in spring drills.
