Born 5/10/76 in Mt. Pleasant, Utah...parents are Frank Walker and Julie Braithwaite...father played football at Arizona...married Ashley Daily in May, 1998...recruited by Utah, Utah St., Air Force, Washington, Pennsylvania and Idaho St.,...majoring in physical therapy.

Before BYU

Lettered three times in football, and once in basketball and baseball at Springville High...earned a 3.6 GPA...all-region in football three times, all-state twice and region MVP senior year...led region in interceptions and receiving as a junior...led team in tackles senior year...all-region for two years in basketball...two-time all-region and all-state performer in baseball...drafted by Montreal Expos in the 24th round...coached by Doug Bills (Southern Utah).

BYU Hall of Fame

Freshman Year 1995

Had a six-yard interception in the spring game...saw lots of playing time against Hawai`i...played on special teams.

Sophmore Year 1996

Had 11 tackles and a pass interception in the end zone at Washington...named coaches' player of the game vs. Washington and Utah St.,...had eight tackles vs. UNM...had nine tackles and a pass deflection at Utah St.,...had eight tackles and a pass deflection vs. UNLV...had eight tackles at Tulsa...had six tackles at TCU...suffered a season-ending ankle injury in the second half at Hawai`i.

Junior Year 1997

Chosen coaches' defensive back of the game at Arizona St. and New Mexico...had seven tackles and a pass deflection at Arizona St.,...11 tackles vs. Utah St.,...had 10 tackles and a sack at Rice where he was named coaches' defensive back of the game...had four tackles, recovered a fumble, and was given credit for half of a pass deflection vs. TCU...had four unassisted tackles at New Mexico.

Senior Year 1998

Grabbed six interceptions to rank first in the WAC and 12th in the nation...named to the All-WAC Second Team...was named coaches' outstanding defensive back for games against Arizona State, Washington, Murray State and New Mexico...hauled in a pair of interceptions in the Washington game, breaking Husky QB Brock Huardis string of 90 consecutive passes without a turnover...ended the season ranked second on the team in defensive points with 194 and fourth in tackles with 73...had a season-high 10 tackles in a win over Utah.
