Redshirt sophomore Dana Oldroyd netted her first career goal for BYU as the fourth and final goal in the victory over Wyoming.
"I thought we got off to a real solid start with an early goal to help settle us down but then they came back with a really nice goal," Rockwood said. "I was very proud of how we came out in the second half and got back in our rhythm."
The Cougars finished the game with 17 shots to Wyoming's seven.
The first half of action saw BYU's first goal from senior Kassidy Shumway off an assist from Jennie Marshall after just four minutes of play.

PROVO -- For its first conference game of the season, the No. 12 BYU women’s soccer team (9-1-1) will take its talent on the road and battle the Wyoming Cowgirls (6-6-0) in Laramie on Saturday, Oct. 2, at 1 p.m. MT.
The Cougars are posting a 4-1-0 record this season when they play on the road and are an all-time 14-1-0 against the Cowgirls.
BYU is traveling with a two-game win streak after coming off of a 4-0 shutout victory over the Idaho State Bengals on Wednesday, Sept. 29. Junior Lauren Anderson led the Cougar offense against the Bengals with her first two goals of the season.
In this year’s preseason coaches poll, for the third year in a row, BYU was picked to finish first in the Mountain West Conference with six first-place votes. Last year the Cougars went an undefeated 6-0-1 in conference play, finishing first in the regular season and second in the conference tournament.
The Cowgirls are 3-3 when they play at home this season and will host the Cougars after winning just one game of their last four.
In last year’s conference tournament the 5th-seeded Wyoming Cowgirls were eliminated in the first round by 4th-seed New Mexico, who was eventually defeated in the semifinals by 1st-seed BYU.
When the Cougars return from Wyoming, they’ll continue conference action with a game on their home field against the Air Force Falcons on Saturday, Oct. 9 at 8 p.m.
