Local KOVO Radio Broadcasts
For the first time BYU baseball games will be broadcast live over Radio KOVO (960 AM).
The all-sports station will carry over 30 live broadcasts of BYU's baseball games this season with Brent Norton once again as the play-by-play announcer. Norton has been the voice of Cougar baseball for 11 years.
Beginning this Monday at 7:30 p.m. MST, KOVO Radio will air the first BYU baseball game of the season as the Cougars start to defend the Mountain West Conference title in the league opener at UNLV. KOVO will broadcast BYU's MWC games, except for the second game of the two doubleheaders. The Provo-based station will also carry Cougar baseball games in the MWC Tournament hosted by BYU on May 22-25 at Miller Park.
"I'm excited for this opportunity our fans have to listen to us through Brent Norton again as our voice," said BYU Coach Vance Law, whose team has posted a 5-11 record thus far, including winning two of their last three games at the University of Hawaii.
"We are pleased to have our broadcasts on KOVO and look forward to working with them in this partnership," said BYU Associate Athletic Director Duff Tittle.
