Co-captains Chris Capper and Austin Hall of BYU were drafted as pitchers on Wednesday in the Major League Draft.

Capper, a junior from Glendale, Ariz., was taken in the 26th round by the Arizona Diamondbacks. Hall, a senior from Danville, Calif., was a 33rd round selection by the Milwaukee Brewers.

Capper, 6-foot, 203 pounds, posted a 3-6 record in 2012 with a 2.97 earned run average in 10 starts, including a complete game victory against Loyola Marymount.

Hall, 6-foot-4, 200-pounds, pitched twice this season against San Diego and Gonzaga, clocking a 97 mph fastball in the season finale against the Bulldogs.  Hall played every position except catcher in his BYU career.

Hall was Academic All-West Coast Conference and Academic All-Mountain West Conference three times.  This season he led the Cougars with 13 doubles and also was 8-for-9 in stolen bases.
