Mahe Undergoes Surgery; Will Not Play on Saturday

PROVO -- BYU wide receiver Reno Mahe underwent an emergency appendectomy on Monday and will not play in Saturday's game against Utah.

"Our first concern is that Reno is okay," BYU head coach Gary Crowton said. "We understand the surgery went well and that is our main concern. We just want him to know our thoughts and prayers are with him."

Mahe, a 5-foot-11, 190-pound junior from West Valley City, Utah, leads BYU with 62 receptions for 747 yards on the season, averaging nearly 75 yards per game.
