Spring Scrimmage: Time Changed to 11 a.m.

PROVO -- Head football coach Gary Crowton today announced he would move the annual Blue-White Scrimmage, scheduled for noon on Saturday, up to 11 a.m. so that the scrimmage would not conflict with the BYU basketball team's possible second-round game on Saturday.

"We are pulling for Coach Cleveland and the team," Coach Crowton said. "We thought it would be best to go ahead and move the scrimmage so that fans can make plans to get home and watch the basketball game on television."

Crowton also announced he and the coaching staff have divided the team up into two different teams for Saturday's scrimmage. In the past, it has typically been offensive units against defensive units.

"This way it will be more like a real game," Crowton said. "We want some of these younger guys to feel the game atmosphere, the excitement, the intensity, everything. We're hoping a lot of fans turn out. It should be a lot of fun."
