PROVO -- BYU senior offensive linemen Ray Feinga and Travis Bright will play in the 84th annual East-West Shrine Game on Saturday in Houston, Texas.

Featuring top college football players from around the country, the game pits East vs. West in a 3 p.m. (CST) kickoff at the University of Houston’s Robertson Stadium. The all-star contest will be televised nationally on ESPN2.

Feinga and Bright are two of six players representing the Mountain West Conference in the game along with running back Aaron Brown and linebacker Jason Phillips of TCU, running back Gartrell Johnson of Colorado State and defensive back Glover Quin of New Mexico.

BYU will be represented in the East-West Shrine Game for the fifth-straight season. In addition to Feinga and Bright’s invitations this year, linebacker Bryan Kehl represented the Cougars in the 2008 Shrine Game while quarterback John Beck played in the 2007 contest. Wide receiver Todd Watkins was on the 2006 roster while defensive back Aaron Francisco, defensive lineman Brady Poppinga and kicker/punter Matt Payne were all on the 2005 West squad.

Feinga and Bright were both starters on BYU offensive units that ranked among the best in the nation each of the past three seasons. While becoming one of only seven teams nationally to win 10 or more games the last three years, BYU's offense was ranked No. 4 in both passing and total offense in 2006, No. 14 in passing and No. 25 in total offense in 2007 and No. 6 in passing and No. 16 in total offense in 2008.

A native of West Valley City, Utah, Feinga finished his BYU career this season earning All-Mountain West Conference First Team honors and SportsIllustrated.com All-America honorable mention. The 6-foot-5, 331-pound offensive guard started 36 games over his BYU career and played in four bowl games.

Bright also started in 36 games during his BYU career, earning All-MWC Second Team accolades as a senior in 2008. The 6-foot-5, 329-pound offensive guard was a member of four bowl teams at BYU and served as a team captain this past season. He is a native of Queen Creek, Ariz.

The East-West Shrine Game is the nation’s oldest postseason all-star collegiate bowl game. Every year since 1925, the East-West Shrine Game has been played to raise funds for Shriners Hospitals for Children and to raise awareness about the expert orthopaedic, burn, spinal cord injury rehabilitation and cleft lip and palate care available at no charge to patients and families through the 22 Shriners Hospitals for Children. The players are able to better understand the true purpose of the Game during a pre-game visit to the Shriners Hospital in Houston, Texas.
