Cougars to conclude regular season at Pepperdine

BYU Game Notes

No. 17/18 BYU men's basketball will conclude the regular season when the Cougars play at Pepperdine Saturday at 3 p.m. PST in Firestone Fieldhouse. BYU has won eight-straight games and is currently second in the WCC standings at 12-3, one game ahead of Saint Mary's (11-4) and two games ahead of Pacific (10-5).

BYU's game at Pepperdine will be televised live on CBS Sports Network. The radio broadcast will be available live on the BYU Sports Network, BYU Radio – Sirius XM 143/89.1 FM HD2 and KSL 102.7 FM/1160 AM.

BYU Storylines

  • Coming off wins vs. No. 2 Gonzaga and Santa Clara, BYU men’s basketball jumped to No. 17 in the Associated Press Top 25 and entered the USA Today Coaches Poll at No. 18. The Cougars are ranked in the AP Poll for a second-straight week and the USA Today Coaches Poll for the first time since ending the 2010-11 season ranked No. 12.
  • Yoeli Childs was named the WCC Player of the Week for Feb. 24 after averaging 25.0 points and 10.5 rebounds in leading BYU to wins over Santa Clara and No. 2 Gonzaga. It is his third career WCC Player of the Week honor.
  • Guards TJ Haws and Connor Harding have been named to the 2019-20 WCC Men’s Basketball All-Academic Team. For Haws it is his third-straight season earning All-Academic honors. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to their team.
