BYU vs. UNLV Game Notes

PROVO, Utah – No. 4 BYU women's soccer will host UNLV in the first round of the NCAA tournament on Friday at 7 p.m. MST, at South Field.

"I feel that we're as prepared as we can be," BYU head coach Jennifer Rockwood said. "This is one of the best teams I've coached here at BYU. Now we just need to go out and beat the teams in front of us."

For the Cougars (16-2-1), it's the fifth-straight NCAA tournament appearance after sharing the West Coast Conference title with Pepperdine. BYU received the at-large bid as the Waves' head-to-head win gave them the WCC automatic berth.

The Cougars are 15-1-2 all-time against the Rebels. They played last year, with BYU winning 2-0 behind goals from Taylor Isom and Michele Vasconcelos.

UNLV went 16-3-3 and 8-1-2 in the Mountain West Conference. The Rebels beat San Diego State in a penalty kick shootout for the league automatic berth.

Tickets will go on sale Tuesday morning at 9 a.m. MST. Season ticket holders and Cougar Club members will have until noon to call the ticket office and order their same season tickets for Friday's game. Any tickets not purchased by noon will be made available to the general public.
