One Win, Two Ties In Weekend Tourney

PROVO -- In a one-day soccer tournament hosted by the Cougars, the team picked up a win over Southern Utah and ties against Utah and Utah State, Friday.

The shortened format tournament in which teams play two 20-minute halves, BYU defeated first-year program Southern Utah 3-0, then played instate rival Utah to a 2-2 tie. The Cougars finished the day with a 1-1 tie over Utah State.

BYU has one more weekend of games on its spring schedule. The team travels to Moraga California to take on St. Mary's and Cal Berkeley on April 12 and 13.
