Sarah Yee Named NSCAA All-American Scholar Athlete

Sarah Higham Yee, a senior on the 2001 BYU women's soccer team was recently named All-American Scholar Athlete by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).

Higham Yee is the second Cougar to be awarded this prestigious award. Last year senior Natalyn Lewis received the same recognition.

Yee was a starter on the soccer team this past fall and was an integral part of the Cougars successful 2001 campaign. She helped the team win their fourth consecutive MWC Championship and fifth straight NCAA appearance. She has also participated in two "Sweet Sixteen" appearances.

In her final season with the women's soccer program, Yee started in 21 of 22 games and finished the season with four goals and two assists for her 10 points from 37 shots on goal.

The 5-7 midfielder/forward from Mission Viejo, California majored in health education and maintained a cumulative 3.58 GPA. Yee and her husband Justin are expecting their first child in February.
