Last Home Match for Cougars
PROVO -- The No. 21 BYU women's soccer team (12-2-2, 2-2-0) will go on the road to face Wyoming (7-8-0, 2-2-0) on Thursday at 3 p.m. and host New Mexico (7-4-3, 1-2-1) on Saturday at 7 p.m. for Senior Night.
The Cougars are ranked sixth in the nation in goals-against average (.422), are tied for tenth in save percentage(.881), and are tied for tenth in shutout percentage (.625). They are also tied for 12th in won-loss-tied percentage (.813).
Wyoming junior Tamika Wilson scored her team-leading eighth goal of the year and 16th of her career during last Friday's win against TCU. The Cowgirls are averaging 14.1 shots per game and have scored 20 goals this season.
Last week, Lobo junior goalkeeper Shannon Adragna recorded 13 saves to shutout Utah, the highest scoring team in the conference. It was her fifth shutout of the season. Freshman Alexis Ball leads the team in goals with six, and junior Hannah Hand leads the team in assists with seven.
Saturday's match will be BYU's last home match before the conference tournament is held in Provo Nov. 7-10. It will be "Bring-a-Friend Night" when two fans can get into the event with one All-Sports Pass.
