• Was the Utah Valley Player of the Year
• Was first-team all-state and all-region
• Academic all-region
• Coached by former BYU All-American Kim Nelson
• Team won the 2008 5A state title
• Batted over .700 in the 2007 state tournament
• His traveling team was No. 1 in the nation as a 13-year-old
• Lettered in football as a sophomore and was the top defensive football player his freshman year
